Hello Thomas,

thank you for your submission. A new DIY PIC project after some time...

A first glance shows you put some effort in creating the documentation.
The code looks good as well.

In file hd44780-usb4all.c on line 164, tx_buf.use_count needs to be
updated I guess.

I will do some more checks and this may currently take some time (likely
weeks).
