[Lcdproc] Parallax

Before I go charging in to work on using LCDproc, is the Parallax Serial
LCD module supported? I have a 2x8 HD44780 backlit with a 3-pin serial
backpack.
I would like to know if I can use this running out of the serial port on
Ubuntu 11.10 Server x86.
