I picked up a couple of the 4x20's to fiddle with and I can't get  
either of them to perform this magic trick.

I've seen the very same thing. These commands are a nice demo of the  
device's capabilities, though.

I'm happy I got rid of the annoying power-up default screen the device  
ships with! Now, if I could only get the device working on FreeBSD and  
OSX...  :)
