It looks like just using lcdproc's hd44780 driver with the winamp option
works the best so far, I managed to add and get the cobalt driver from 2004
to compile into the hd44780.so and use the cobalt rather than winamp option
but it only makes the garbage worse and I can NEVER get clean text with any
char map I have tried. The Raq's are definitely winamp wired and they are
definitely a KS0066U chip. I'm quite sure that the char map for this device
is unique as when it starts, even though I have it set as 16x2 and port
0x378 which is true, it displays 06x2 and 0x278 when it first starts. I did
substitute 240 and 241 for 112 and 113 in the default char map and it is at
least spitting clean text for the moment. Now I have to figure out how to
get a character map for this.
