[Lcdproc] Problem with HD44780

Hi,  I recently upgraded to Ubuntu Gusty and have a problem with lcdproc.
The reported version is 0.5.2.  When I start from a command line I get:

Could not open driver module HD44780.so: HD44780.so: cannot open shared
object file: No such file or directory

Driver [HD44780] binding failed

Could not load driver HD44780

There is no output driver

Critical error while initializing, abort.

I have tried removing and reading the package.  How do I add the missing
driver?
