[Lcdproc] Running Problems

Returning to the command line, the shell prompt from which you started 
LCDd was the goal there.  It looks like it worked.  It wasn't supposed 
to give you an interface to LCDd.  Doing nothing & stopping all reports 
or prompts from LCDd was the point.

Is LCDd up ond running?  Can you start a lcdproc and get some new 
screens up?
