[Lcdproc] LCDproc on MacOS?[Scanned]

Hi Ethan.
If you look at the archives, I posted (today) a patch to the IMON driver
to run under MacOS. This uses the MacOS IOKit framework (user mode) to
talk directly to an IMON USB VFD. I decided to do it this way rather
than trying to port the standalone driver and make a .kext as I managed
to do the whole development without crashing my machine once (I have
never managed to do this when playing around with kernel modules!)
This should be a starting point for hacking together a driver for other
USB connected displays. WRT a usb-serial type display, as long as it is
detected as a serial port by the kernel then I would have thought that
it would just work?
Cheers
Phil
