[Lcdproc] CFontz 634 (serial) only gets blank screen

Hmmm, the output does not indicate any type of error.

A few further ideas for testing
- maybe there's a problem in changing the line speed to a different one
  than the default.
  Would you mind playing with the Speed= setting in LCDd.conf
- Did you try different NewFirmware= settings
