Hi all,

Well I'm fairly new to LCDProc, and now keenly waiting on delivery of a VFD
for my HTPC project.

I have a Noritake ITRon
GU280x16G-7806<http://www.noritake-itron.com/EPages/Log.asp?PCode=Specs/GU7000/GU280X16G-7806-01&PType=pdf>on
route. This is a graphical VFD which supports a number of text modes
and
of course graphics. Having read the details on the glcdlib I'm fairly
confident getting this to work they way I want will be reasonably straight
forward.

One question.. Is there any support in LCDProc to handle 'windows' on
graphical LCD/VFD's ? I ask as the 7000 series can support multiple windows
on the display. I would like to 'partition' the display to provide a
graphic indicating the mode the HTPC is in (i.e. DVD), a window for some
'now playing' type data, and a window for a visualiser or other content.
The mix of windows, fonts etc would be configurable.

(i.e.

)

I have some ideas on how I could facilitate this, just curious if anybody
has worked on this before.

Cheers
Jason
