[Lcdproc] question to VLsys mplay vfd in Zalman case

Hi all,

i'm just building my new htpc and therefore i've bought a new case, the 
HD135 by Zalman. Unfortunately they dont state clearly, that the case 
doesnt use a IRTrans-Display like the HD160, but a VLSys 2x20 VFD. This 
VFD is connected through an USB-Serial-Converter FT232BM. 

Now my question: Ist there somebody who knows if, and when how i can use 
this VFD with lcdproc? I've tried some common drivers like hd44780 or 
serialvfd, and LCDd starts working, but the display always shows only 
its start-message.
