[Lcdproc] does LCDd support usb to parallel converter ?

Hello,

I have HD44780-compatible LCD connected to the parallel port and wired
in 8-bit winamp.
I would like to connect it via usb. I have found that some
usb-to-parallel are supported by the kernel : those with a USS720 ou
USS725 chip are recognized. [1] explains this in details.

So here is my question : is LCDd able to drive a HD44780 trough this converter ?
