[Lcdproc] xosd driver not working

Did you run it from a window that can access the X-Server? If not, try
starting LCDd from an xterm. If you did, please check whether you can
start any other X application from that terminal.
Peter: Could you please add a note to the LCDd.conf that the "font"
argument for [xosd] like so:
-# font to use
+# font to use, in in XLFD format, as given by the "xfontsel"
application
