[Lcdproc] Init-lcdproc flaw under FC/Redhat

What distro gave you that piece of crap? :)

The lcdproc.conf file has section headers like [CPU] which bash does not

lcdproc reads the config file by itself, you can check parameters with
lcdproc --help
You need to fix the script , better ask Technical Support for bash support.
