Must be some bug somewhere, the old way should work. I had intended the 
barlength to become display independent. The driver already uses 
promilles, but the command should to stay backwards compatible, so cannot 
use promilles. There was supposed to come a flag with which a client 
could indicate the length in promilles, but it never came that far. So if 
anyone...
