Nick,
Is there anyone at Matrix Orbital who can help out with programming on
LCDproc? The MX212 (2-line) driver malfunctions - making a mess of the
display (starting with the attempt to show graphics characters).
No one on the list has been able to make this work...
Thanks,
MD

Subject: Re: [Lcdproc] LCDproc with a GUI?
Thanks a lot Eric. I've installed Hardware Monitor, but i can't seem to get
it to work with my display. I've installed the proper drivers, but still no
luck :( The display I am using is one of our MX6 units. This unit is
directly pluging in as a usb unit, the conversion from rs232 to usb is done
on the board.
If you have any suggestions, please let me know!
Much regards,

Nick,
I don't think you will find much out there with a Mac OS X GUI for LCDs.
Hardware Monitor:
http://www.bresink.com/osx/HardwareMonitor.html
can display to IOWarrior or FTDI RS232/USB chips.
I made a Growl (http://www.growl.info) plugin to display to my own HD44780
displays using Belkin USB to parallel adapters. It uses the System
prefernces and has a decent UI, but is only made to use my USB LCD Kit.
I also just finished a Growl plugin to send notifications to LCDproc:
http://home.sandiego.edu/~epooch/
You still would need a properly configured LCDproc server though.
I may work on a user interface for Mac and contribute it to the project if
there is any interest.
