[Lcdproc] Seg Fault with Edgy and HD44780

using /dev/parport0 is fine and as i recall now the recommended method.

But anyway i run gdb again and got an error about sometihng in the 
driver for the 4bit wiring. My conf file had winamp set....eventually i 
figured out that for some reason it was not reading that file properly. 
But i don't know why but now it reads it okay. MY problem is fixed and 
it runs same as ever but if i were using the 4bit there would still be a 
problem.

As well i have a (rough) java client for MPD and LCDproc if anyone is 
intersted i can post the source code for you to use / build upon.
