[Lcdproc] Some Help with KeyStrings?

Hello,

I just downloaded and compiled the latest stable release of lcdproc 0.5 
as an upgrade, and have come across some questions.

The most pressing one is to with keystrings. I don't quite get the 
concept. I have to enable keypad in LCDd.conf, then go and define all 
the keys I want to use?

I already have defined all the keys I want to use in the hd44780 source 
file, and I want lcdproc to just pass on keypresses (with the defined 
names) to my client, with no modifications. The idea of having to define 
again the same keys in LCDd.conf does not make sense to me (plus I am 
using something like 45 keys, it would be rather tedious). Is it 
required that I define them all in LCDd.conf as well?

I tried running my client with no "Keystring" values in LCDd.conf, but 
the keypad was totally unresponsive.It says in the documentation to look 
at the documentation (which kind of confused me).  Can anyone provide 
some help?
