*whew*
Absolutely *tons* of traffic on this list for the past two weeks. It's
time for me to sift through the recent traffic and try to make sense out
of all of it.
Here's what I've got planned for the next few days. Yes, I could
probably get all this done in a few hours, but it's a matter of finding
those hours in the next few days. Remember, I'm married, and my wife
really hates it when I geek out all day at work only to come home and
geek out more. :)
I've tried to list these in some form of order of preference. Feel free
to dispute the ordering here, it's just a start:
1) Document *EVERYTHING* so far. This means digging through the mailing
list and writing down, in one place, all the decisions we've made and
what decisions are left. Naturally there'll always be room for
improvement, but if we're all referring to *one* piece of
documentation when we argue points back and forth, it'll be easier.
2) Update the web site (including all ports, etc.)
3) Finish setting things up on sourceforge so we can move to the new
mailing list and start actually using the tools.
4) Release LCDproc v0.4. Unless there are showstoppers in pre10 that
are worth running through one more prerelease cycle, I want to
package up what's in pre10 and call it LCDproc v0.4.0. This one's
last on my plate for now, so I'll make another call for patches,
drivers, etc., before I actually do this. I'd like to *try* to test
things a bit before release, too :) I'm in *NO* hurry to release
v0.4.0.
I'll try to accomplish all this as quickly as I can. We've gotten quite
a bit further into this development than it feels like, and if we
concretely document the pieces we're finished with, the rest should get
easier.
