[lcdproc] keypad support

Hi,

I'm not a real electronics hobbyist, so I plan to buy a Matrix-Orbital
LK404-55.

My question is if it is possible to connect individual keys to the
LCD-unit, or does it only work with some specific keypads? The thing is I
want to build an interface with some keys but those keys are placed
individually, and not on a keypad of a kind...if you see what I mean...
