AFAIK it is because 7.0 has gcc-2.96. You should compile with 2.91. RH
calls this kgcc, this is the same compiler with which you must compile
the kernel and I have been told that this kgcc is the older 2.91
version. You will encounter this problem with a lot of programs BTW.

I also had compile problems and when I use kgcc there is no problem
(yet).

Please correct me if I'm wrong.
