[lcdproc] Problems with HD44780 driver

Hi,
I just tried out the new lcdproc 0.4-pre9 release. I'd like to use a
normal HD44780 Display connected to the parallel port.
I configured the Makefile.config (added HD44780 support; changed the
device to "/dev/lp1") and compiled the package. I got the following
messages while compiling:
hd44780.c: In function `HD44780_init':
hd44780.c:77: warning: implicit declaration of function `get_args'
hd44780.c:124: warning: implicit declaration of function `ioperm'
The compiler doesn't stop after these messages.
I installed the lcdproc package but the HD44780 driver doesn't work at
all. I'm sure the LCD works (I used it in an embedded system before) and
is correctly connected to the parallel port.

Please help me fix this problem
