I second the "Huh?" about the port.

It's fine as a learning project, but there really isn't any
good reason to split the project or switch over to C++.  (C++
has always been sort of a pet peeve for me)  I've rather
intentionally organized the code in an "object-oriented"
fashion, partly to demonstrate that C can do all the same stuff
as C++, but without the bloat.  Unfortunately, it requires a
bit of redesign to clean things up.

Oh, probably.  Try autoconf/automake.  There are other tools
too.  :)

I haven't actually learned yet how to use those, though.  I'm
hoping to soon, because they really kick ass.  But the main
tool I use is emacs.  Once configured properly, it's a great
tool for, well, just about everything.  :)

Hmm..  Now that I think about it, it'd be spiffy if I could
implement a "forward/back" sort of history thing in emacs like
there is in Netscape, using the same keys.  Hmm...
